O God of knowledge, life, and love; we come before you in praise and thanksgiving. Amidst distress and grief we ask and plead for your presence.  Be with us to guide and inspire us in this devotion.  May our acts of piety and devotion be pleasing to you.  In the name of Jesus.  Amen.
