God of love and life, we come before your mighty and awesome presence.  In the middle of a sea of humanity we feel the pangs of longing.  We discern our need for your indwelling.  Be with us, Lord, and bless us with your Spirit.  In the name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

It is within your infinite presence where we always are, because you fill all space – on earth and in that awesome beyond, which is but in your bosom.  We cannot help feeling awed by this truth, Almighty God.  And yet this, or any other thing, cannot compare with your mighty act in the person of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord whom you gave to us unreservedly.

We acknowledge all this with joyful wonder as we lift up our hearts in eternal praise, adoration and worship.  Reward us this moment with the healing warmth of your Spirit, and lead us away from this sanctuary ready to do your bidding.  Amen.
