Theme 9:  We are Called to Ministry

I. Opening Prayer

It is within your infinite presence where we always are, because you fill all space – on earth and in that awesome beyond, which is but in your bosom.  We cannot help feeling awed by this truth, Almighty God.  And yet this, or any other thing, cannot compare with your mighty act in the person of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord whom you gave to us unreservedly.

We acknowledge all this with joyful wonder as we lift up our hearts in eternal praise, adoration and worship.  Reward us this moment with the healing warmth of your Spirit, and lead us away from this sanctuary ready to do your bidding.  Amen.-Querubin D. Canlas, September/2007

January 12-18, 2015 (G)

Theme 8:  A New Life with Jesus Christ

I. Opening Prayer

We could hardly comprehend that you are mindful of us when we are not at all worthy because of our manifold sins.  We cannot understand how you can love us, even send your most Beloved Son for our sake.  There was rejoicing among the heavenly hosts when he came to us as an infant, but there was grieving in creation when he was tortured, nailed to the cross, and murdered.  All this for our sake.

Accept this our heartfelt plea for your forgiveness, and enable us to reach, touch, even just the tip of your throne of grace for our assurance.  In your most Blessed Son with the continued assistance of the Holy Spirit, we pray.  Amen.
